Planning and Layout

When laying out the pool note that the dimensions must inculude the pools coping. Allow for a 12" distance between the water's edge and the property line, electrical lines and other structures such as houses, sheds and garages.

Excavation

The excavation should be dug very close to the pool size with a minimum disturbance to the unexcavated soil which will support the pool. The depth of the excavation is determined with the use of a transit level and measuring stick.

Preparation

The preparation of the excavation bottom is critical so the pool will fit properly. Thorough preparation will eliminate settling, stress cracks and a minimum of time will be spent setting the pool.

Setting the Pool

Your pool will arrive on a truck-trailer combination. A crane will lower the pool into the excavation. Once the pool is set in the excavation, the pool will be checked and leveled.

Water and Backfill

The water should be added gradually to the pool and the backfill evenly distributed the structure must be checked for buldges and corrected before the water can be completely filled.
